Sarah Mantell

I've always enjoyed creating art. Growing up, my grandma taught my brother and I how to work with all sorts of media. We worked primarily with acrylic paint, but I also remember experimenting with pastels, charcoal, and occasionally clay. These days I enjoy painting in acrylic and watercolor, sculpting with wire, and a variety of needlework crafts.

Graduate school is extremely demanding, but I make an effort to incorporate creativity in my daily routine. Some days I only have time to complete a few rows in my knitting or paint a stroke or two. Even on these days, I can still feel my stress melt away as I work on my projects.
